Hi Roger,

Is this a known and acknowledged (by Tunze) problem with the clips? Will all such breakages (as long as they're legitimate) be elligible for replacement by Tunze under warranty?

I have handled my nanostreams so many times yet managed to avoid breaking the clips but I can see how easily they can be snapped off.

I'd just make the clamp and magnet a permanent fixture if I were Tunze.

i have never broken a clip but the actuall large tabs that hold the pump in place one of those just broke for me it was the one from the first batch of pumps with the hard plastic

will you replace it rodger? i dont need the magnets just the thing that goes into it.
Thanks
nick

Manaz, I cannot answer for anyone except myself, most distributors are a bit stricter than I am.
I have been lenient on these claims as the very first pumps came to the US and these pumps had some issues, I will not be able to give them away for eternity.

Nick- PM me an address.

Roger: No worries, I understand the position you're in.

Have Tunze in Europe commented on the issue at all, or is it left totally to the individual distributors to comment on issues such as this?

They have provided me clips when I request them, what really complicates this issue is shipping, it costs me almost as much in shipping as the actual value of the clip. I can imagine in Australia the costs are much higher.

Or just be careful when you handle them, always grab both the clamp and the base as if they are one unit. It is not that easy but can be done.

Or better yet glue them together with black ABS glue even before use. I don't see a downside of that.

If you like i will pay you the shipping...

Don't worry about it, it is cost of business and customer satisfaction in my opinion. I just wanted to point out that for a distributor in another country where the sales volume and profit may be lower and shipping may be much higher it may be prohibitive.

IMHO, the cost of rectifying a known and acknowledged fault should be worn by the manufacturer - it's really no excuse to give a customer that they live too far away to have their warranty honoured. And given the incredibly high costs for Tunze gear that we pay in Australia, I hardly think this is a valid excuse.

This is obviously not your fault though Roger, thank you for your answers, your response to someone you've got no obligations to assist is most appreciated, and helps to keep Tunze's good name! :)
