Hi,
I just purchased new 6025 and 6045 nanostreams from Marine Depot. The cord on the 6045 is flat, and folds over the edge of the motor block nicely to allow the propeller housing to snap shut. This is similar to the other 6045s I already own. However, the cord on the 6025 is round and fatter. It does not fold over the edge of the motor block as well, which prevents the tabs on the propeller housing from clicking into place, leaving it only loosely connected on one end. It seems like the slot on the propeller housing where the cord exits is not deep enough, and I am tempted to cut it so that it will close properly. Is this typical? Why is there a heavier gauge cable on the weaker pump?
Thanks,
Robert
