6025 magnet questions

I have 2 6025 in my tank...I am incredibly anal about wires being seen. I was looking at one of them yesterday and had a thought....I need to know if the magnet on the wet side is one solid piece or if its 2 magnets with a gap in the middle. From looking at it I think there is a gap in middle. I am thinking about drilling out that gap and running the cord up through it to make it sit more flush with the wall of the tank....I hope this makes sense to you.....Thanks

It is two magnets but i worry you could compromise the waterproofing and the magnets sit on metal plates that will be difficult to drill through.
