I have a 6025 that is about 1.5 years oldhas been rattling quiet a bit and then just stops spinning. Took everything apart and it seems that the drive unit is really lose inside motor housing. I took my 6045 apart to compare and it is a whole lot tighter fit than the 6025. It shouldnt be that lose should it?

Thanks
Mike

They both should have a pin, if the pump was made before June 2007, the pin was a lower grade metal and could break, a piece would be in the base of the pump, the rest would be inside the drive unit. After June 2007 production the most likely culprit is that at some point Calcium cemented the propeller to the pin and if the propeller is forcefully removed the pin pulls out with it, usually in this case it can be reinstalled but you have to first remove it from the drive unit.

OK the pin is not here as I can see all the way through the drive unit. Also there is nothing inside the pump except a small round nipple at the very bottom center. Do I need a new drive unit and pin or just the pin? Just let me know how much and the payment info.

Thanks
Mike

The pin/shaft is not available any way except as part of the motor, on assembly it is pressed in to the motor with a hydraulic press. If you can send it in with a receipt showing it was bought less than 2 years ago we will replace it under warranty, otherwise I will repair it for a very fair price.

Thanks Roger, it'll be in the mail tomorrow. The only receipt I have is from my acct. at Marine Depot so just printed that off for you.

That will be fine, I don't need an original receipt, just some proof of date of purchase.
