6045 wont work correctly

I clean the pump every month and lately even after cleaning it wont start up unless i tap it or use something to kick start the prop. This shouldnt be with a pump less than 6-7 mths old. Anyone have this issue? how did you resolve it? Ive contacted roger so Ill prolly hear from him in a few days but wanted to know if this is common and what was done to fix the problem.

How high is the Alk in your tank? I think you could soak the pump in white distilled vinager then RINSE IT OFF COMPLETLY. That might help.

Alk is 8.8 dhk

Ive already soak the pump in distilled viager and toothbrushed it clean. its the magnet and prop that wont start up.

Steve, I have that exact issue with two 6025's that I bought early this year. It got to be so bad that I removed both of them from the tank. No resolution here yet as I haven't gotten around to contacting Roger.

If you send me your pump Mike I will exchange it for a new one and they have been improved substantially since the first ones earlier this year.
