6055.700 question

I am intalling a new 6055.700 -- what do I do with the little disc (6055.740)? Does that slide down onto the pin in the motor block before I put in the new drive unit?

yes drop it in before the drive unit

You will use the drive unit to press it all the way done, you will want to remove the stainless steel disk if one was present before installing the new black one.
