6055 and batteries

Is it possible to run a 6055 directly from a battery? Will this void the warranty?

In the fall we will be releasing an accessory to do this. It will allow you to connect a battery or solar panel. It has a fuse and regulates the power to prevent damage to the motor.

It will work on any of the new series of electronic pumps- 6055, 6101, 6201, 6301 and the newest version of the wavebox with the 6261 pump.
