My wife and I (ok, mostly my wife 
) are pretty particular about noise in our tank.
It's in the living room and we're on a quiet cul de sac in the 'burbs so at night the silence is deafening...except for the droning of the 6055s on controller
If I take the 6055 off the clip and dangle it, it is as silent as I would ever want.
Once back on the mount it drones.
I have shimmed a bit of rubber between magnet and inside of tank wall with little reducttion in noise.
Maybe the stream rock would be a better option for me?
Any other creative mounting ideas appreciated.
(and this is definitely a 'princess and the pea' situation - when we lived in a downtown condo white noise from downtown living would have easily drowned out the very slight droning noise caused by the Streams).
