6055 intermediate flow rates

Roger,

I found a post stating that the voltage for the 6055 could be set from 12V to 24V in 3V increments. Do you have the flow rates for these voltage settings? I'm assuming that the 6055 will do 1,000 l/h at 12V and the full 5,500 l/h at 24V. It it a linear relationship between the flow rate and the input voltage?

I tried to search through the forum for the answer, but couldn't find it.

Thanks.

I could only approximate but I would say the relationship is slightly parabolic at a certain point the voltage required to get a speed increase becomes greater. It is very close to a straight line but not exactly.

Thanks Roger.

So based on a linear relationship between flow rate and the voltage setting, I'm assuming that the 6055 behaves like a 6045 when set at 21V and that a 6025 is pretty in between the 15V and 18V settings. Does this sound right?

I'm trying to figure out which combination of nanostreams would work well for me in my 37g. Any suggestions?

I'm looking for enough flow to keep a few SPS, as well as my RBTA and a future clam. I'd probably just stay with a pair of 6025's, but I really like the idea of pulsing one or two 6055's. I'd just set the voltage down on the 6055 to keep the flow reasonable ...

2 6055 would be perfect, I think I would start with 15V and probably overtime as corals grow you could work up to 18V or 21V.

I have two 6055s in a Oceanic 37 pulsing from 30% to 100% at 24v. Right now I have them on a 7091 with a photocell to calm it down at night. I have a 6025 that I am thinking about putting back in as well, maybe when the corals grow. I also want to upgrade to the 7095 eventually.

So the 7091 has both pumps operating together, right? Both pumps are at the same level at the same time, right? Do you have any fish in the tank? Barebottom or sand?

I'd love to see how you have the 6055's positioned in the tank to handle all that flow. If it turns out that two 6055's and a controller are out of my price range right now, I wonder how two 6025's would work out ... probably just fine based on your 6055's ...
