There are no valid mods, it does 1450 gph at full power, I don't think it would be possible to get more than that for the size of the pump. We do not endorse or recommend modifying the pumps, doing so can void the warranty.

gotcha. Ive have noticed though...I DO NOT need a more powerful flow...I need a wider spread flow.

I am actually a bit confused on what exactly flow is...

First question. I know that the more flow the better. point taken. However, does higher voltage on the powersupply actualy 'push' more water through the overflow and through the sump? So in short...does more flow filter more water?

Second queston...what is the PRIMARY purpose of flow? Is it to blow off debris from rock and corals? Do fish like more flow? Is it to 'push' more water through the sump for filtration purposes?
