I have replaced the power cord and the propeller so far but my 6055 will not spin. If i hold it and try to turn it I can fell it trying to turn. It only moves a little like it is about to spin but does not turn. Is there anything else I can try?
Have you tried it with no controller connection? If the power supply is new and the propeller is new and the metal shaft is clean and in place and no controller is being used, the issue is likely the motor.
interesting development....I soaked in really strong vinegar bath over night and the pump seems to be working for now. With the controller and without the controller. I was even able to turn it off via the var speed port. This is similar to what happen before where it worked for a few days then stopped again. Could the motor be going dead?

I suspect then the issue is calcium built up on the metal shaft, try removing the propeller assembly and soaking the motor in vinegar/water until everything inside is black and the shaft is free of any mineral deposits.
rvitko,
I currently have it in the vinegar bath now running and was planning on letting it stay in for a day or two. Should I stop the pump from running and just allow it soak or is the running fine?
rvitko,
Well it looks like its the motor...so frustrating. This thing works a few hours or few minutes then will not work until I take it apart and start spinning the propeller to get it going again. It had a good run I guess. Pump is not that old but worked fine so I will look around for a sale on a new one. For future information what is the minimal time they should be off when using for wave making?
They can cycle off and on as often as every .30 seconds, the motors are expected to last approx 5 years. We can certainly get you a motor and I can discount a new one if you give me a call.
