6080? controll

Ok, I've learned a few things in trying to controll the 6080's off a home made controller using a solid state ac regulator and timers computer driven. It seems that anything lower that 85v causes the pump to quit. It also seem that 85~120 causes the pumps output to be the same. Are my assumptions correct? Can you provide any info on how to slow this pump down or can it only be pulsed? TIA

Other than if you continue on this you will ruin your pump and void the warranty- know. This is the reason any wavemaker claiming soft start is BS- pumps run at a speed controlled by the Hz pattern and not voltage- modifying the Hz pattern can ruin the pumps and requires electronics that cost in the $1000 range. DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL SYNCHRONOUS DESIGN PUMPS OF ANY BRAND.
