6100.10 screw broke

The current drive unit 6100.70 no longer uses a screw but that is the correct screw for that older drive unit.

I might do both, I would use the new 6100.70 drive unit and save the old one as an emergency spare.

okay, i will go to the site and get it ordered.

Can i run the unit without the head on the screw? I'm going to have fun getting the screw out without the head too.

I don't think you will be able to get the prop to stay in place. I have two ways to remove the screw.

Use a dremel tool with a saw blade and cut a notch across the top so you can use a small slotted screwdriver to remove it. You will probably cut through the shaft a bit but this is OK.

Heat a small screwdriver hot enough to melt into the plastic and let it cool before unscrewing. Philips is preferred and use one with a plastic or wood handle- wear heat resistant gloves.

i ordered the two parts online, but haven't gotten a confimation email. My computer was locking up. I hope the order went through.
