6100- Changing the flow pattern?

The way I understand it, on the newer stream pumps the 6105 has a more direct pattern and and longer reach while the 6205 has a wider path of circulation. The drive covers are interchangeable and changes the flow pattern according to what cover is used.

With the 6100, is there an interchangeable cover that would provide less reach and more of a wider pattern?

Yes, 6200.130. Just to clarify, the 6105 and 6100 also have smaller propellers, and less overall flow, changing the cover will make the flow wider and with less reach but does not change a 6100 to a 6200 or a 6105 to a 6205, for the most part you will gain about 6" in diameter in the cover change of a 6100 and lose 2-3 ft in reach, for the 6105 with 6205 cover the diameter will increase about 12" and the reach will decrease by 3-4 ft.

In your opinion, Do you think I will loose too much reach in a 180 with the Wave box on the other end? LPS tank

I am not sure this mod is necessary, it is not cheap. The tank is only 2ft wide so while it will be somewhat more diffuse the tank will channel the flow a bit and you can likely accomplish what you want by just turning down the pumps. I think it will work, but it may not be worth the money.
