In the 6100 manual (page 7) it says 'In order to redirect the water flow, the water outlet can be connected to a PVC angle, pipe or similar (diam 50mm.... etc...'
I'm going to mount the 6100 streams in my tank, with a short 90 deg bend (50mm PVC) on the outlet of the stream. NB; The 90 deg bend is a smooth swept style bend, not two intersecting pipes.
Can you see any problems with doing this (sounds like the manual says it's Ok, but just wanted to double check).
Don't mind if I loose some flow rate by doing this.
The reason I ask is I want to mount my streams in the corners of my tank each stream mounted into a 50mm tank connector located in a small glass shelf/bulkhead siliconed in the corner of the tank and with a 90 deb bend on the other side of the tank connector. This setup would mean the streams being far less obtrusive than using a normal stream mount etc and having them sticking out into the tank.
drawing (pls excuse quality) showing concept.
Thanks,
Chris.
