6100 vs. 6055

Right now I've got a 6100 and a 6101 on my tank, both hanging on the back wall facing the front center. I've got them on the same 7091 controller, with the flow dialed back to pulse from about 30-50%. Much more flow than that and it turns my tank into a snow globe because of my sand bed. I've been thinking lately about selling this setup and buying 4 6055s with a 7095 and angle them at my reef structure rather than having them blow towards the front of the tank, which is about the only thing I can do with the bigger pumps. Any thoughts on this? Roger? Anyone else?

Have you tried the 6101 with the 15V jumper installed on the power supply?

What is that and what would that do?

Check your manual, the 6101 came with a jumper that allows you to change the output voltage of the transformer, this basically would cut the flow in half, it was in the box with the transformer in a small baggie. On the older 6100 you can do the same thing by buying the smaller 6000 transformer.
