6100's and 6200's have loose swivel arms

I've noticed that my two 6100's and two 6200's wobble more and more. At a closer inspection it looks like the grooves on the engine blocks are wearing. Infact one of the 6200's looks like it's worn to the point where it's about to fall from the mount. Why is this happening and is there a fix? The pumps are cleaned often. Thanks

When I took my 6100s off those mounts, to attach them to a pair of Wavyseas, I had to chip away the coraline algae before the mounts would even begin to slide out.

Do you take them off when you clean the pumps? If so, perhaps doing this has worn them out by the effect of coraline acting like sand paper.

Algaeman,

How old are the pumps? we had a couple of swival arms that were mis moulded and did this abaout 2-3 years ago.
You can glue these to the pump they do not need t be removed for any reason.

The pumps are between 2- 3 years old. So they may be mismoulded. I'll just crazy glue them on now so they don't get any looser. Thanks

My suggestion is to heat the arms, if you just hold them over a stove till the plastic is soft and press them on a cutting board it will flatten and spread the arm a fraction of a mm. It usually works better than anything else, very snug but still removable.
