looks like typical cycle stuff. when your water quality improves, th planaria should die off slowly. Trying to get rid of them with chemicals is risky IMO. There are fish that eat them as well.

Is the HA bothering you? From the pic above, it looks to be fairly minor so I don't think I would get all excited about it. And whether or not a fish will eat it depends on that fish' personality in a way. I have never seen my foxface eat it. Tangs will on occassion and since you are probably planning ot have some, that would be your safest bet.

But the real deal is to continue to polish the water and let it run its course.

I don't know what they are but I know leopard wrass eat fw. You know it is a hit or miss but I have heard alot of people with success. I went to my lfs for a cb today and they had one in there tank and they love him. I wanted to buy but not for sale..GOod luck..

still my Mantra, although i may put a couple of my clams in the tank soon. there is one in there already and it seems to be happy.

i do like the Leopard Wrasses and would like to have one in the tank someday.

i will suck out some more of the crap on the bottom over the weekend and do a water change.

i really want to put the Cross Hatch Triggers in the tank but i know that they should go in much later. i need those algae eating fish. if i could catch one of the fish from my 260 gallon tank which ONE could i put in the tank that is most likely to help with the algae situation?
sailfin tang
Kohl tang
Naso tang
foxface

sailfins will eat anything including their own turds. The foxface will not be as territorial if it's in there first. Got a magic 8 ball?

the little clear thing appears to be a larveal upside down jellyfish :D They showed up in large numbers when my tank was cycling...then all dissapeared once I started stocking it :(

I looked back through your thread and found the pic of the plastic bins with the grow out tank sitting on top of them. Do you have that system plumbed into your tank yet? Do you have a big ball of chaeto in the fuge yet?

That will eliminate the HA growing in your tank and very effectively move the algae to the fuge.

the meter is not running backwards yet. i am signed off by B&S so the system can stay online, however DWP has not been out to measure exposures etc, and calculate my rebate, so right now the way it works is i am paying for all electricity i am generating and then once i get the right meter they subtract out what i have produced, (the system keeps a cumulative total of Kw generated). right now it is making about 60kw per day on a sunny day.

the sump and other equipment, ie calcium reactor, Kalkwasser reactor, skimmer, Kati-Ani, etc can't/won't be able to be hooked up for a few more weeks until after we are done with the house. we are awaiting the building of the stair railings.

and then phase two can begin.

then these boxes can be unpacked and those bins and tanks can be set up and i can get the fuge etc going.

for now i only have a 75 gallon as a temp sump in the closet by the tank which has a Aqua C EV-400 skimmer and Red Sea 200 Ozonizer and a small cannister of carbon in a Phosban reactor.

i am still feeding a pinch or two a day of Brine Shrimp Direct 5-50 micron size food.

but the fun part is design and install. and the only things I get in on a pallet are salt, carbon, and floss.

Ahh, and AquaC EV400? No wonder the water is a little yellow still (unless you start changing a couple hundred gallons every week for a bit). You need a bigger skimmer like a BK or something to suck all that algae and stuff right out.

Ahhh... only an AquaC 400? You need a bigger skimmer like a BK or something to get the tint out of the water and keep all that algae at bay.
