First of all,thank you for posting on my thread-you TOTM guys have awesome abilities in growing coral!!-Here's a link to the split unit I purchased and I included the heat pump also since it can get cold in Vegas in the winter. I had a local a/c company place the order and install it- he is friend of mine actually-but you could prolly buy the unit online and have a local company install it for you. Size up the conditioned space/room size you want and size your unit accordingly, but I would upsize it just a little to be safe.I did insulate the walls and garage door-yep- MR.Slim

Thanks for the link. Your are fast! How do you insulate your garage and where do you buy the material from (homedepot, lowes?). Do you have a pic of the inside of the door w/ the insulation on? - sorry to ask too many questions I'm not good at these insulation stuffs

I purchased all the insulation at The Home Depot-they have garage door foam insulation just for that purpose and the wall insulation is nothing special, they have bundles of it also-I covered the garage door with the embossed aluminum for looks mostly-not sure if I have before pics though

Your set up looks great. I am glad to see another vegas reefer who is as psycho as i am. I am just putting the finishing touches on my 650 gallon total system. I will deffinately need to pick up some frags from you in a few weeks. Looks great!!!!

Sounds good. I attached a preview pic of my new build. I have not started a thread with it. I just dropped in the rocks last week. I still have a lot of little things to get done. The system has been running for 3 weeks now. I used about 250 pounds of live rock and a bit of substrate in a strainer from my old 125.I just had a mini cycle and didnt lose any fish. The system totals about 600 gallons. I am building my aquascape racks this weekend and should hopefully get the aquascaping done. I have some frags waiting to stretch out in the new system. Its good to meet a local reefaholoic. See ya
