Roger,

Would you know if the 7077/2 ( TZ1111) CO2 regulator sold in USA by Marinedepot is exactly the same model sold in Germany or in Brazil?

I live in Brazil but I've used to buy all my Tunze products @ Marinedepot because many reasons.

My concern is regarding the connection with the tank. I'm affraid I'll have problems with THREAD dimensions ( metric x inches discussion).

I know the model exported to Brazil will work just fine in my tank and the model I can find here is the 7077/2 but for 3 times the price.

In case you confirm it, I'll order it tomorrow.

Regards

Adriano

The thread of CO2 bottles is universal, it is a standard thread called British gas thread, if I recall it is 27/32". Anyway, it is the same in the whole world. The only problem you can have is European bottles have a recessed center, like a pipe, it is hollow in the middle. US bottles have a flat surface, with only a small hole for the CO2. The regulator will work just fine on US bottles but it can be harder to get a good seal because it is made for European bottles. You can either use a US regulator washer to seal it, the nylon washer piece, or teflon tape on the thread. Personally I use teflon tape and leak test with soapy water every time I change the cylinder and make any adjustments to stop the leaks. If you want a perfect fit, Eheim sells an adapter piece milled from brass but they cost about $45.

Roger,

Thank you very much. We use European standards in Brazil therefore I'll probably not have problem with it.

I'll load the order there.

Best regards
