7091 Controller Not Working

I just noticed this evening that my 7091 single controller isn't working properly. My turbelle stream is still running but the controller no longer switches between pulses and doesn't have any speed control. One of the pulse LED's is really bright and the other is on all the time at about half intensity. For what it's worth, the food timer still works.

I have no idea how long it's been this way. Any ideas on what may have caused this or how to fix it? Is this a common failure after a few years?

I don't remember what model stream I have, but it's an older one and the transformer is a model number 7240.27.

Not that it helps, but it's either a 6000 or a 6100.

Do you have a photocell connected? Is it possible the controller got wet? Did you possibly turn the pulse knob fully clockwise (pulse off)?

No photocell and I adjusted the pulse knob in both directions so that isn't it. It is definitely possible that the controller got wet thanks to my 3 yr old.

You could open it and take a look but I have never seen a 7091 fail short of getting wet. Sometimes it is just salt creep in the photocell socket shorting it into night mode and a brush with some isopropyl alcohol can solve that.
