Hope you guys enjoy as much as I do.

As one who is getting into a full sps system your a true inspiration! Size. aquascaping, coral selection/color, growth ect is awesome! Not sure how I have overlooked this system before now but I will be checking in regularly. Great job!! Im jealous!!!

Your tank is amazing, wonderfull!! Corals are beautifull!

And I specially like your idea of covering bottom with silicon. I just bought a tube of GE SCS 1200 white to make a test on a piece of glass, which I will throw in my 125 gal. I think I will take your idea for my next project (300 gal). I like bare bottom but I will like it better in white and less slippery as you mention.

Now, questions!
Do you have any snails or urchins? Do they like to walk on this surface?

Do you know if algea other than coraline grow on it?

Do you know people with this same silicone bottom who have it since loong time?

Is there something you don't like about it (silicone bottom)?

Thank you very much!

First of all thanks for your kind words.

Well, I really like the silicon botton and answering your questions:

Do you have any snails or urchins? Do they like to walk on this surface?
A: Yes I have and they can walk on the bottom with no problem at all.

Do you know if algea other than coraline grow on it?
A: Yes, unfortunately the only algae that DO NOT grow is the coraline. If your tank have PO4, NO3 or other parameter problems, the green/brown algae will grow on it.

A: Yes, ii have really nice tanks here in brazil that are using it for 3 years or more

Is there something you don't like about it (silicone bottom)?
A: The only drawback since now is the algae that grows on it but I manage to remove the little silicate (Si) from my water and now it's clear again. I really like it.

Thanks again and best of luck.

Hello guys

Here are some pics to show the reef right now. Taken from my iphone as always.

Look at this red planet. I think it's just on the right color.
