7200/2 fix

Roger, thanks for the great turnaround time on fixing my 7200 driver. I bought another 7200/2 in the meantime, because I like to have spares for all my life support systems. My curiosity (I'm an engineer), has me wondering what was wrong with it. Did you see something specific, or was it just one of those random electronic failures?
thanks again,
Mike

The driver failed, I really couldn't find an explination. Usually what happens is a transistor overheats and this could be from a stuck impeller, the transistor not making good contact with the aluminum, lots of causes actually.

Thanks Roger, I was just curious. BTW, I now have a 7200/2 plus driver for a spare. Am I correct in thinking that the driver and the pump body will serve as spares for all my various streams/electronic pumps?
thanks, Mike

Thanks Roger - that's pretty cool to only have to stock the one set, and be prepared for anything on all the various others. Tunze seems expensive at first, but has been the most cost effective components I have on my tanks.
