7200/2 O Ring

Hi Roger,

I took my 7200/2 apart last night for a cleaning and I didn't find O ring part 7400.61. I suppose its possible it slipped off and I didn't see it. Anyway, the manual indicates I should have this O ring, is that correct?

Also, I'm not clear on the manual instructions to use a wood screw or wire hook to pull out the inner rotor bearing in the motor block hole. I don't see any bearing down there nor a hole to start a screw into. Do I really just put a screw down there and thread it out? I'm worried about damaging something.

After thinking about this some more, I guess I'd like to have a comprehensive set of repair parts on hand for future cleanings. What kit do you recommend?

Thanks.

Review the thread stickied at the top of this forum, by what you describe I would bet the bearing is stuck to the magnet and this is a problem, it needs to be pryed off and cleaned.

I can send you one of those orings, it is not a critical part, it mainly serves as a noise dampner. The complete kit is part 3000.60.

I did read that sticky before I started all this and it was very helpful. Your explanation just caused it to click with me I think - sometimes the bearing gets stuck down in the motor block hole and then you use the screw. Mine was on on the magnet and came off pretty easy actually so I can now see I was looking for something I already had...in my hand. Right?

My pump is noisy now so I bet that little o ring did pop off and I didn't see it.

Thanks for your help.

I can mail you one of those orings no charge, I have a pile of them.

Yes, it was already out, if you take a look at it you can see the hole in the center where you would drive a screw. FWIW, the metal screws that come with the pump bracket work well if it isn't too stuck.
