Looking for a good in sump skimmer that wont break the bank..I dont have to have the best of the best but I want a pretty darn good one,,,,suggestion????

I use the Octopus NW-150 on my 75G with a 30G sump. Couldn't be more happier. It's my first and only in-sump skimmer, though. But personally I think it gives you the best bang for bucks.

the the best bang .. i have a ccs 65 on my 90

for a lightly stocked tank it works great ...
i have too meny fish now for it to keep up

ok, i have a 29 gal sump so hopefully those will fit....ill check em out..thx a lot.......any1 else??????

GO for the octopus 150 or 200 if you can spend $200 go for the larger one. Premium aquatics.com

If you have a sump then build a diy down draft skimmer. You can make one or order one for like 50 bucks. Best bang for the buck.

ok urban u got my interest..Im a diy kinda guy...where can i find more info???? Do u use one of these in ur sump? Is this why u r a prof. sw fish ext.?

Thanks Urban, looks like I have a project for this weekend. If I fail then I'll run out and buy an octopus.....I can relate with the nickname as my wife and I are referred to as the orchid slayers at home depot...We have returned a lot of dead/dying plants....thx much everyone for the replys

Octopus nw-150 is the best value. Mine actually works better than my Euroreef RS100. but it took a week to break in.

good luck, Mike
