Looking for a good in sump skimmer that wont break the bank..I dont have to have the best of the best but I want a pretty darn good one,,,,suggestion????
I use the Octopus NW-150 on my 75G with a 30G sump. Couldn't be more happier. It's my first and only in-sump skimmer, though. But personally I think it gives you the best bang for bucks.
ok urban u got my interest..Im a diy kinda guy...where can i find more info???? Do u use one of these in ur sump? Is this why u r a prof. sw fish ext.?
Here is a cheapy. Its rated for 160gallons which means 75G will be perfect! Also read the second link for mods. People have posted there 150G tanks running on this.
Thanks Urban, looks like I have a project for this weekend. If I fail then I'll run out and buy an octopus.....I can relate with the nickname as my wife and I are referred to as the orchid slayers at home depot...We have returned a lot of dead/dying plants....thx much everyone for the replys
Originally posted by mikedege Octopus nw-150 is the best value. Mine actually works better than my Euroreef RS100. but it took a week to break in.
im not trying to be condecedding but why did you choose the Octopus 150 over the Odessya PS160? Im curious becuase both are needle wheel and was wondering if i should switch. (i have PS160 for about a week)
