75 Stocklist

In Memoriam
Pair of True Percs
Lawnmower Blenny
Coral Banded Shrimp
Pair of Skunk Cleaner Shrimp
Flame Angelfish
Chocolate Tang or Yellow Tang
Trio of Dispar Anthias
I think that sounds like a pretty decent list imo what do you guys think?

If you want something to pick algae the rabbitfish I had picked and cleared much more algae than my tomini tang. Plus if you can find a magnificent foxface they are just as pretty if not more so than any tang.... of course thats just my opinion.

Trio of Dispar Anthias kinda trouble imo. check the info

Disbar Anthias - Mirolabrichthys dispar
Maximum Size: the Mirolabrichthys dispar grows up to 4 inches.
General Size Specifications: The Disbar Anthias will come to you generally 1.5 to 2.5 inches, not including the caudal fin.
Minimum Tank Size: The Disbar Anthias prefers a tank of at least 80 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim.
Diet: The Mirolabrichthys dispar is a carnivore and likes to eat plankton, flake food, etc. .
Level of Care: The Disbar Anthias is a medium maintenance fish.
Behavior: The Disbar Anthias may act peaceful (but will be harassed)ly toward other fish.
Hardiness: This is a delicate fish, and can be hard to get eating in captivity.
Water Conditions: Keep water quality high (SG 1.020 - 1.025, pH 8.1 - 8.4, Temp. 72 - 78° F).
Range: Maldives, Western Pacific east to Samoa and the line Islands.
General Notes: Likes others of the same species. A beautiful species, the Dispar Anthias is best if kept in groups consisting of one male, and a couple of females. In this arrangement, they will acclimate much easier, and act more like they would in the wild. Of course in larger tanks they can be kept in larger groups, at which point it could be best to keep at least 2 males in with 6 or more females. Reef type tanks with more peaceful fish i.e. Gobies, Blennies, Cardinals, and Dragonets would be the best combination, as the Dispar Anthias is quite prone to being picked on by more aggressive fish. Being a shallow water species, the Dispar is one of the best candidates for being placed in a brightly lit reef aquarium. As with most of the Anthias, frequent feeding is suggested, at least twice a day.

the clowns may pick and the angel also. just a heads-up

I know I always tell people this, but I SO recommend a tail spot blenny. They are great fish loaded with personality!!!

I dont know about the tangs; it might be better to find something that is still really active and colorful that wont get as large. And why not lyre tail anthias? They are beautiful and they dont get as big or as picky. Other than that, its a great list!

Re: 75 Stocklist

Flame Angelfish- I would swap this out for a potters angel, just my opinion though. LOL. They are great at picking algae.

Chocolate Tang or Yellow Tang
Trio of Dispar Anthias- I would not put any of these in my 75. Again just my opinion.

Not the tang police by any means, but please research both of these tangs. I think you will see neither "should" go into a 75. Again, I'm not the tang police. LOL.
Also, alot of people will look like the TP , but in reality it is only for the fish in question's health and well being.
Oh yeah, I'm not the tang police. :smokin:

I am not going to start the "tang police" either, but I definately would reconsider an ancanthurus in a 75 gallon(chocolate). Of all species out there, acanthurus demand the most room and are the most avid swimmers along with the naso's.

If you have to do a tang, the one I recommend is the kole tang due to its smaller size. Most of the other tangs will outgrow the tank. Hope it doesn't sound like the fish 5-0 but I had tangs in my 58g and they all got too big and made the nitrates soar.

I reccomended that one to him along with a tomini. I totally agree with you, they tend to do better in smaller tanks.
