75g Build Thread

Here's the (almost final) LED build. I used a Current USA 48" PC fixture. Honestly they seem to be the best fit. Version 2 will incorporate the meanwells into the fixture itself along with the dimmers and switches.

No heat issues, heatsink is running at 78 degrees F and LED is at 81-82 degrees.

Gotta do some final wiring on the outside of the fixture to make it easier to put on the tank. Should be done and on it tonight. So psyched!

looks great!

Sand sifting Goby is not a good choice for a new aquarium as there's no food in a new sandbed. Keep it well fed. It's a jumper, so keep top covered.

During QT he learned how to get food out of the water column. His aim isn't always the best (guessing based on the eye positioning), but he and the tang are the most aggressive during feeding time.

But just in case I do have a top on the tank (except for right near the overflow). I could probably tighten that hole up a bit just in case.

Your tank looks fabulous! I love how you have the yellow polyps growing on the overflow box. That is a neat idea. Spreads fast and is a natural background!

Thanks everyone! I'll see if I can get the video posted soon. I have updated pics from the 40b in the basement as well.
