8-Bulb ATI Sunpower or Giesemann Infiniti

Should I go with the Sunpower or Inifniti on my 4' x 2' x 2' SPS tank?

My major concern with the infinti is the small reflectors and their distance apart.

My major concern with the ATI is losing the shimmer that I am used to.

Sunpower gets my vote, especially if it is 8 bulb unit, FWIW. Utilize led strips on either side of the unit to get a bit of shimmer, I guess it is all in the eye of the beholder. If the infiniti were single ended, then I would use the radium bulbs for sure, and supplement with t5's, this is heaven in the sps world, giving you both looks, but otherwise, you will not be disappointed in the ati sunpower:)

Thanks for your input. One thing I like about the DE is that I can get Phoenix bulbs again, for now anyways.

From what can tell the infinity de would be good enough coverage for the 24" footprint. I'd choose the spectra, if was wider than that. I'd miss the MH shimmer with the t-5 as primary and wonder how much you'd notice by adding the supplemental led's, especially with 8 t5's? As to availability in future for mh bulbs? Guess the se would be better, but smaller fixture looks better for top/down viewing and that gets my vote. Corals will be happy either way, so good luck!

I had an infinity and loved it! I say go infinity and whenever mh bulbs are not available, gut the fixture and install leds so you'll have a t5 /led hybrid.

I have the infinity on a 30 X 30 tank with a Phoenix bulb and really love it! Coverage is unreal on these units let alone the sleek look!
