8 line flasher wrasse

Breeding wrasses would be awesome. I know that LADD has a spawning pair of Johnsoni right now.

PIA is a retailer and a sponsor of RC.

Cool. it would be awsome, and should be doable. Unfortunatly, captive breeding marines is not yet the easily profitable venture, so it may never really happen on a large scale. But it seems to be working for ORA, so maybe at some point others will invest in it.

my johnsoni spawns nightly, most wrasses do, but it is very very hard to breed the larvae. fairy wrasses unlike flashers are neat spanwers, as flashers are messy. hence more hybrid flasshers than fairies.:) Happy New years..im off to work...

I don't even see they are available any longer...I just checked the site.

Very interesting...wonder if the price will continue to rise.

It has happened in the past, and I was fortunate enough to take advantage of it. Luck is always great.

Yup, I think the first group of us got lucky on this one...I just hope they don't give me a smaller male cause I got in at the cheaper price or anything. I did request a larger male since the description just said "Male" because I have my female already.

I'll take a $200 wrasse for $89.99 any day of the week :fish1:

Maybe LA was just taking care of us since we paid so much for the first batch that mostly didn't make it lol

I called and we are getting males as we paid for them. I personally wouldnt mind a smaller male, but a large 1 would be great too.

i quickly read through this tread and if you are ordering through fed ex its best to find out your hub and have it held there as you can pick them up a 8;30 guaranteed . they have to be on the truck by 8 am so they can all leave at or before 9 am and if you have them held there you can just go there and get them at 8;30 . i have done this many ,many times myself. also the eight line flasher is such a delicate shipper that i would suggest that you acclimate them and put them directly into your display tank as they will have so much better of a chance imo.

They do just fine in QT too. I never understood putting a hungry fish in a tank with a bunch of competition when you can put them in a tank by themselves and give them a little R and R and a fat belly. I have way too much money invested in fish to risk anything getting in my display.
