Hi Richard,
Ten or so years ago, I purchased a 110g package for a reef tank I set up in Louisville, KY. I couldn't have been happier with the results, but a short-notice job transfer forced me to leave all that behind a few years ago. Now I'm finally thinking about starting another reef tank... this time on a much smaller, 9g nano scale. I have a couple of questions.
First, how well does the package scale down to nano/pico sizes? Rock size/shape requirements for aquascaping differ. How about the livestock? i'm thinking that a 9g might be at the low end of the 'normal package diversity.
Finally, shipping seems to be thorny problem. If we're talking two separate shipments, combined with a 100lb minimum per shipment charge at $1 per pound, shipping ends up close to 2x the cost of the rock, sand, and critters. I'm hoping I'm missing something.
