90 gallon bowfront setup

hallo,
im in the midst of setting up a 90 gallon bowfront tank, and im trying to decide on filtration. currently i have a cannister filter and a prizm skimmer on it with a couple powerheads circulating the water around. it has 150 pounds of southdown in it. basically im looking for a setup thats "self-maintained", and i want to avoid a typical under-tank sump. would the "compact kit 16" suffice? is the skimmer in it pretty decent? and will it give me some decent water movement? thanks in advance.

The compact kit 16 would be a big improvement. I would say compared to most skimmers in the price range it is a very good skimmer, definitely far more powerful than the prizm. The flow of the return is nominal, about 350 gph but that is all you want, more flow and the filter cannot work properly and it is inefficient to use return pumps for flow, that is what powerheads are for. The Kit 16 is a traditional sump though, it is all inclusive, the sump, return pump, skimmer, mechanical filter with option to use chemical media, denitrator and auto top off.
