90 gallon build

I am building my new 90 gallon tank. I now have the tank and stand and am working on the piping. I have just located a light for sale. I would just like to know the general consensus of this light. It is a 48" current nova 6x t5 54 watt fixture. IS this a good light fixture? And will it be enough for my 90 gallon? It is a typical 90 gallon, 48"l x 18"w x 24"h. I plan to have mostly LPS but I would like some SPS also.

A 6 bulb t5 fixtures are perfect amount of light for 90 gallon tanks. Im not to familiar with the nova lights. But im sure it will be fine. You have tons of options with bulb configurations as well. They will grow both LPS and SPS no problem. Good luck and enjoy the new build.

My other choice is to go led. I was thinking about going with the 32" reef breeders light. Any opinions on t5 vs led? I also found a aquatic life 6x t5. Anyone know anything about those lights?

Ok decided to go with the reef breeders photon 32 on my 90. And I also decided to pipe my sump and refugium to the basement. Working on that now. Next I am looking to get some live rock and sand. Does anyone know a good place to buy some live rock for a good price? And is live sand worth it? The more I read it seems like it is not.

Definitely a good idea to put the sump in the basement from the start. Live sand is not worth it IMO. As far as live rock, I bought mostly dry rock and then seeded it with just a few pieces of live Rick when I set up my 90
