9002 skimmer question

Hi, I am just wondering where should I adjust the bubble to when I just start to install my skimmer? My LFS didn't give me any manual in it. Last nite I made the buble half inch above the end of the inside tube and this morning I found myself w/ full cup of water. now I change the bubble to barely visable is that going to be ok?

Set the water level at 1/2" below the water line marked on the skimmer. Open the air screw 3 full turns. Every day make an adjustment as needed until you get the desired skimmate. Open it 1/4 turn if the skimmate is very dark or non existant, close it 1/4 turn if the skimmate is very watery.

thx for reply, i tried it and it works for the 3rd day that I can see the middle tube start to have some greenish waste. However, these few days, I rarly see the bubble push the waste to the collect cup. No matter how I adjust the air valve, it is just won't change anything. Any idea why? btw my water lvl is pretty stable at the mark. I can see the bubble are very fine and just won't push up to the collection cup.

Does it make any noises besides just a whisper of air? Do you here any sound like coffee maker? How long has the tank been set up and what is in the tank?
