What is the preferred water level for in an in sump operation. I am ordering my skimmer so I do not have it yet. And am building baffled sump this week. Anybody have any suggestions or experiences to share?????

My sump is similar. You may want to raise the baffle for the skimmer chamber at least an inch. Mine sits in eleven inches of water with the 9010 about one-quarter inch off the bottom. I wish the chamber were at least a half inch deeper; however, I have had great results for some time now.

Thanks a ton man! that was perfect to see how your sump was set up too. Thank you for posting all the pics. I just got my sump today so I will be installing the baffles this week. Ill put the finished product up when im done.

Very nice looking set up! sdreefer21- if you use the included in sump kit (riser tube) the water level can vary between 4" and 10". You could do a low baffle just to protect the pump from running dry.
