9010 loose fitting airline

I was reading the posts in this forum and noticed statements on how the airline should fit snug into the nozzle (3130.160) and impeller housing. I purchased mine in October and it has always been very loose and will hit the inside part of the impeller housing piece without being snug. The line will fall out of the hole unless I am real careful when reinstalling the pump.

Any suggestions on how to get the line to fit snug.

A few months ago you replaced the pump and it was loose on the one I returned also.

I produce skimmate but never have had much only about 150 ml a week.

Also I cleaned the skimmer 5 days ago and haven't produced any skimmate since. It bubbles but won't rise into the neck. I removed the cup and cleaned it again today in case some type of film got on it.

I'm obviously not Roger but I am having the same problem. I ended up dremeling that little ring on the inside of the coupling so that the airline would stay in the hole since it was obstructing it. Otherwise, it kept falling out. Even with that fixed, the bubbles won't rise into the neck.

Yes, some venturis were made with an opening that is just .1mm too big. The air line nipple should only insert half way and be very snug. PM me your shipping info and that you need part 3130.16 and I will send one that has been tested for proper fit.
