9010 Suddenly stopped working

I recently (1 week ago) bought a 9010 from J&L Aquatics in Vancouver. Seemed to be working well. I shut off my power bar to do some tank maintenance. Turned everything back on and my skimmer didn't do a thing. I tried different plug ins, nothing. I took it out of the sump and when i plug it in there is just a faint humm and it doesn't do a thing. What should i do????

I don't have any control over repairs and service in Canada but to start I would open the pump and check it for any obstructions. It could be as simple as the brakes locked up or the bearing bush slipped down in transport.

Who do i contact for repairs in Canada? Brakes locking up? What/where do i look for that?

It is in your manual, start with the basics. Follow the cleaning and disassembly procedure. You would probably go through J&L.
