9015 skimmer got enough guts for a 150g?

Planning a 150 gallon + 50 gallon sump. Stocking will be about medium with mostly LPS and some clams.

Will a 9015 skimmer be able to handle this or should I move up to a 9020?

thanks!

9010 is what I would get, it should be all you need and if I am wrong you can upgrade it to a 9015 for about the same money.

Fkshiu,

I am running a 9020 on my 150g. Total water volume is about 134 gallons with the sump (All Glass Model IV) after I subtract the water displacement of the live rock (200+ lbs), sand bed (2"), 1" difference from the water line in the tank to the top of the tank and equipment in sump. This is as best as I can figure. All said I have experimented running just one of the 9010's and it has been able to keep up easily. I have a fairly heavy bioload. Hope this helps.

I can try, but no promises. I haven't posted any pics on here yet so have patience. Just to clarify, the 9020 is just two 9010's connected together at the factory to make one unit.

They are glued together and actually a bit stronger than the 9010's because the foam risers allow more air to be delivered, the same air flow on a 9010 would just produce a cup of water.
