9015 stalled

Perhaps you can help me with my new 9015 skimmer. Its been up and running in a brand new setup for a few days now (bare tank), but wasn't when I returned from work today. The impeller wouldn't turn, and in the course of disassembly, this is what I found. Is the bulge from the side normal?

Yes, I know this problem we had some pumps made back in April that did this, it is a defect in the plastic and not any major electrical issue. The plastic formed layers that seperate and buckle when warm. PM me an address and we will get you a new motor made with a new stronger plastic. See if you can extract the bearing at the bottom and the oring as you will need those to install in the new motor.
