9020 positioning in "sump"

i'm building a custom 150g that has a large compartment in back for tunze comline equipment.

basically there's an overflow on back that leads to this 48" x 6" x 24" in-tank sump area on the back.

i'm planning to have room for:

Tunze 9020
Tunze Comline Filter
Tunze Ca Reactor

There will also be an area for probes (Lighthouse, Reefkeeper2, Osmolator, Litermeter dosing, etc.)

Will this size compartment work for these products, or should it be deeper? (at 6" that's only 1 inch of wiggle room for mounting and outlets.) If so, how deep should it be ideally?

Does the 9020 come with the in-sump adapter? Do you recommend running it in this configuration? I was thinking it would just waste space...

6" should be fine. The 9020 is stronger (very slightly) with the in sump kit but it should work fine without, the sump kits are included. The compartment could really be about half that length and work just fine. The 9020 is about 9.5" long.
