90g full tank shot thread

easye123, I have one Seio 1100 and it's pretty quiet. As a matter of fact sometimes I'll wave something in front of the flow just to make sure it's still running.

avshockey311, since I first started this hobby, your tank was one I really liked and remembered. I think it's pretty unique.

Not the best pic, but here's a shot of my 90 last month. Just trying to keep my hands out and let it grow.

Thanks chip721, How long has yours been set up? I would love to keep my sand that clean. I have been fighting a cyano problem now for a while. What kind of lighting are you using?

avshockey, I see what you mean by "no room" for other coral. lol, maybe I'll think twice about getting some red ones. How are you getting rid of em?

chip727, I have a piece of coral that has the same colors as the one in your avatar/sandbed...

that shot was taken with the night light on...you can see some of the feeders comin out...

toonce, wow, talk about a tall tank. What are the dememsions on that? My rock pile would look like an ant hill inthat tank...lol. :)

I have not started yet. Going to start this weekend. If you just use the corner of a razor blade you can usually pluck the foot from the rock. Im really not looking forward to the left center shrooms where my mated pair of clowns host. The male has taken skin from my fingers.

avshockey311: This tank has only been up 4 months. I pulled most of the corals from my 2yr old "over-crowded" 54g. And about 1/3 of the lr came from a 2yr old 29g. Lights are Aquactincs 2x250w 14k MH + 2x54w T5 + 2x1w IceCap Moonlights. Just the MH's are on in the pic. I only use the T5's 2 hours before and 2 hours after the MH's.

DarthBaiter: Yeah that Favia is one of my favorites. I've seen some pretty long sweeper tentacles, so I tried to give it plenty of room.

Waxxiemann: I think the glare from the photo gives it a cleaner look than it really is;) . I've got some Nassarius and Cerith snails that keep things turned over pretty good. But otherwise, my bio-load is pretty low too. I've got 6 fish in here, but they're all fairly small. You almost have to look hard to see any fish. But overall the tank is still pretty new. Thanks for the comments all.

Here is a FTS of my 90g. It's an IAP acryllic tank w/center overflow, running since May, 2006. The top half is SPS (mostly just frags right now). The bottom half has some LPS (frogspawns, torches, hammer), zoas, and some ricordia. On the sandbed, I have xenia, a hydnophora, and a clam.

More tank details in my signature line.

toonces, I like that look. Really emphasizes height in the tank. Just need to add some color now :)

ricks, awesome colors! What type of equipment are you using to maintain that tank?

Hey Rick - I thought your tank looked great so I took a look in your gallery and saw this picture that I believe everyone here will enjoy seeing:

Really shows how the tank has changed since that first year! Hope you don't mind my posting it...

Nice tanks everyone.

Rick s, nice colors. What is that on the bottom center. Goes from white to red kind looks like a disco ball...lol.

 (I'm laughing) That is a plastic shell from a craft store. It's an Easter egg frame that someone would knit/crochet/weave yarn through to make an Easter Egg decoration. Why was it in my tank? Long story. . . I have never been able to keep xenia. I tried 4 times over the 2 1/2 years. Every time it would melt away. I thought I was simply "one of those tanks" that for some unknown reason, xenia just wouldn't live in. I decided to try a small piece again recently. The next day, again, it was closed up and "melting" away. Then, I noticed my Flame Angel swim past it and nip at it. Two minutes later, he did the same thing. AaaaHaaa (the light bulb goes off)! I think I just figured out why I can't keep xenia! So I put the xenia inside this so the Flame Angel couldn't get to it, to see if it would recover, and it did! The Flame was also nipping on other things and keeping them closed. He is now in solitary confinement in my fuge awaiting deportation. :eek1:

Thanks for all the kind words. I'm really enjoying the tank. I will put together an equipment list for you soon.
