I have the Coralife 2x65W 50/50 PC fixture over my 10G AGA tank, it's doing well. If anything it might actually be too strong, it kills coralline algae that are directly exposed! The corals love it though, at the moment I have a few green zoanthids, a green kenya tree, a lot of pulsing xenia and a green slimer SPS which is doing well after a week or so in the tank (high).
I have a 96 watt quad ballast and reflector in the for sale section for $35 shipped. Reefgeek has bulbs for this fixture on clearance. I Have had good luck with this light.
The 96w quad pc bulb should be fine where sps are concerned. I would put the sps as high as possible, and make sure you still maintain good flow for any sps corals you may have.
As for clams I would go with a Derasa, or something similar, that is if you are going to go with the 96w quad. Just make sure you do your research on them. Also try to stay away from clams such as a maxima, not saying that it would not survive under the 96w pc, but it would do a lot better under an HQI.
ok thanks. Thats exactly what i was lookin for. I think i'll just do that, because if it really is 24" long then i can put t5s on it. I'll start w/just 2 t5's and then at a later time probably add 2 more.
