I think we only hear about the leaks that happen in tourist areas like Hurghada

It is common practice to cover up. It is not as much covering up as "oh we forgot to tell you" type of situation. Our telecommunication company for instance will stay quite while everyone is complaining about the internet speed and then say "oh we didn't tell you we had a fault in such and such but it is OK now.. " :uzi:
BTW though: if in area you mean the Middle-East, then you are right on. If you mean our sea, then there is 3 hours of flight between them.

. True. As for the tank. I'm started the process of using the water from the saltwater well. I am hoping it will be enough to top it off. The outlets at the sea is only for emergencies. A lot of stuff is dumped in the waters I've recently came to learn. There are plans and laws that makes it illegal but the enforcing of the laws are a bit lousy. Sad, we used to see so much more fish in the waters and we used to swim in the water. Now my children can't do that.

i noticed on your dive trip that the reef didn't seem very diverse... no sps, was that like leather coral or somthing, and and a few brain corals, did you notice anything i missed coral wise?
That would be great, thanks.It is not as pretty as diving in tropical places like the Maldives, but I really enjoy it. You should let me know if you ever make it to this side, we can go diving together

There is a good amount of diversity of corals, I just don't take any photos because I'm totally ignorant when it comes to corals.

Will you have to consider that there are other things that should go into the backyard: a swimming pool, a children's play area, a water channel and pool possibly. We can't just fill the whole backyard with a fish tank

Neither can I. I always hoped I would of been a bit freer to pursue this all the time, but I can't.. so it is inching forward.. much slower than I want.. but I will take what I can get..
