A couple AEFW questions.

I have AEFW and have yet to see any that are bigger than the planaria type. So my question is will the Flatworm exit kill smaller AEFW? I'm aware it's not a proper treatment for AEFW. Just wandering if it will kill the smaller ones.
I suspect my Melanurus is finding all the bigger ones and eats them before they get big. The largest I've seen is maybe 3mm long.
Anyone ever see a Melanurus actually pick off a flatworm?
Another question.. I think I read somewhere that levamisole is the ingredient in Flatworm exit.. Can anyone confirm?

On I side note.. Yesterday I did some dips in coral RX used 10ml per 2 cups. The flatworms pretty much disintegrated within 5-10 minutes. Like .. completely fell apart into a bunch of unrecognizable pieces. No harm to sensitive corals like Red Dragon either.

Another note: Mine look darker brown that most I've seen in photos and have a center pointy tail kind of like the planaria. Not sure if it's the same species as others but I'm sure they're AEFW. same mottled brownish pattern of color.

I am about 2 week in with Flatworm stop/coral booster( $170 bux.. wow). Colors are better but other changes were made for the better too so not sure if correlation is the causation. :)

Bump .. anyone see flatworm exit kill smaller AEFW?

I tried it with little to no success. The way I beat them was a strict dipping regiment using Coral RX.

I removed everything (even smooth skinned acros) and dipped 2 times a week for 5 weeks.

When the corals were out of the water I would inspect for eggs at the base and on dead spots.

I can't say how bad you may have them, but I can assure you I had a full on war...

I lost 3 pieces due to them. Everything else made it through.

I used Bayer - dip every six days for 10 minutes at a dosage of 10ml per cup.

Dip for 60-72 days (more is better)

I just did dip # 8 and plan to do two more.

Hey all.. I have a red dragon that I think has eggs. I can't get to all the spots that are starting to have tissue loss. Should I just cut this thing up and make frags/throw base away? I'm still dipping but that's where I am for now.

I would make frags with no hesitation. Some pieces I have had in the past were in the same situation and trying to keep the entire piece just allowed the lifecycle to continue.

Anyone use Bayer on Hawkins Echinata ?
It's a big colony so kind of afraid to dip it hehe. It don't think it's infested but would like to dip it just incase. I would hate to kill it though since it's so big.

Yes. I've done it every six days for 54 days recently. 10ml per cup and 10 minutes for the dip period. You can go stronger, too. I've dipped one at 10ml per 1/2 cup for 10 min as well. But I could see it was visibly stressed after that dip strength.
