The tanks which has been going for four weeks is looking settled and all tests look good.

I had Copepods about a week ago, mainly on the green algae on the front glass, now they seem to have gone and been replaced with something simular.

These new critters are white, approx 1mm round (virtually a cirlce) with tiny legs/arms each side. It just looks like a round spider, but really tiny... these are also are on the front glass. Theres not loads but enough to notice.

Also out the LR, weve got a coiled black snail approx 5mm big.. Its a flattish shell, black with white spots?

Any ideas??

TAI :)

the first one is a hydroid jelly. round, white, legs have suction cups if you look through a 5x loope. they will die off in a couple of weeks without food. or if you have a six-line wrasse and a coral beauty. you can watch them eat till bloated. lol! i woke up to about 1,000+ one morn. 2 days later all gone. nature at its finest. the other starts with a "C" & i cant remember what its called but i remember what it does. its a algae eater, reef safe. REEF-ON!!!

its a chiton, if i spelled it correct. harmless, i have two in one tank. one is black, the other is shell colored. resembles sea shells on shore. (half shells)

Thanks Nano4brains !!

Last time, prolly 8 years ago I had a fish only tank, no LR...

This time its a much bigger reef tank, and i'm slowly building up LR.

I'm absolutely amazed at what comes out of LR and all the little critters & creatures are fascinating to watch...
