A couple questions

Hi Jason,

Long time... this is Allen in Smyrna, GA. Anyway, I wanted to get more info about the Aquatherm Chiller/Heater Unit on the website. How new is this product? Have you tried it out yourself? What do you think of it? How many gallons is it rated for?

I am also thinking of trying out a 250w HGI Double Ended Pendant for a 58 Oceaninc Tank. Is PFO the only company you all sell? Does Blueline makes these too? How do these compare with Aq. Bu. and Giesmann?

I know that is a lot of questions, but I am in the market for another chiller and some lights. Thanks, Allen

Hi Allen,

The Aquatherm has been out for at least a year that i know off, probably much longer, i first seen an ad for it last year. I have not personally used it, but was talking with a guy that has used it 6 months and very happy with it. It's rated at 250 gallon tank, seems a little high for 1/5HP, but might just be super efficient.

PFO has a nice hqi mini pendant and coming out with a hqi hood with pc actinics in a few weeks, similar to Aq. Bu's hood, only not as fancy. Blueline has just came out with an electronic 150 and 250watt hqi pendant. Should be available very soon.

We can get the Aq. Bu's hoods and pendants too, but our price is not super competitive on those. Far as performance, PFO would do just as good as all of them. Blueline would save you on the electric bill. and AB would just look cool, they have the nicest looking fixture.
