A couple tang questions

I have a 260 FOWLR with several tangs already: yellow (3.5"), naso (3"), hippo (4"), tomini (3.5") and powder blue (5"), added in that order. Surprisingly, the yellow and naso have not grown perceptibly in the 8-10 months they've been in the tank. The hippo has definitely grown some, while the PBT has only been with me about a month.

Growth rates aside, all appear healthy and happy, no aggression or other issues.

I would like to add a blonde naso in the 4-5" range. Would it be likely to fight with my regular naso? (FWIW, naso is about the most well-behaved fish in the tank).

I would also like to add a yellow-eye kole tang. Would it be likely to fight with my tomini?

Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks

The naso genus is by far the most peaceful of the tangs IME and a blondie should do fine with your regular naso. As far as the kole, he too should be fine, his body shape and coloration is pretty different and the koles tend to be a little more feisty than the tominis anyways. Good luck

Thanks for the responses. That's encouraging. I've never seen a regular and blonde naso in a tank together but I think it will be a cool contrast.

Anyone else experienced very slow growth rates in a small naso? Mine really hasn't grown much since I got him, and I got him small cause lots of folks on these forums told me they grow really fast.

Yeah, trouble is though that because they're not particularly aggressive, and not strong swimmers, they can get beaten up pretty badly. I've had no issues adding other tangs to my existing tank, but have now failed twice to add a Naso. Just sayin' ......

My small Naso is growing pretty fast.
