A few ? about HLLE

How difficult is it restore a fishes to good health if it has a moderate case of HLLE?

Are the discoloring and skin erosion permenant or can a fish fully recover to its normal state?

I ask this because I am considering obtaining a species that has HLLE and wonder if it is something I should attempt, or would it be better to leave well enough alone?

Some recover fully with a beter diet, low stress, vitamins, selcon, betta glucan, and good water quality. Some have scarring. It can depend on how bad it gets.
