A few of my SPS

Wow. That wild Aussie one looks really nice! Kind of like pearlberry but more dense.

Thanks, it is quite a unique piece compared to my other corals. It resides in the rear of my tank & it's best view is top down so unfortuanately I don't get to see that view too often.
That siad I guess the majority of corals look their best from a top down perspective - but I suppose even in the wild we tend to see them from that angle as we swim over them while diving.:fun5:

Thoes two pics are awesome! Thanks for posting the saminoensis! When the humilis gets some color don't leave it out! Again, amazing tank.

Regarding stubby branch acros, I had forgotten about theis A.samoensis

This one is from a wild Aussie - I call it my 'no name' as I am not sure of the proper ID. That said, it is one of my faves.

Interesting growth pattern on the second pic

Yes I agree, in my opinion it is quite an interesting piece. That said that picture is top down view of a section that only makes up a small portion of the actual colony.

If you ever decide to frag some of these up, and would do international shipping, I would love some of these.

Need a CITES & other costly paperwork and there would still be no guarantee you would get them in a timely manner so thanks but I can't sell frags internationally - thanks though!

Oh yea, I know it wouldn't be worth it, was more just saying that you have an amazing tank, great job!

Here is a video I made today shooting top down with a go pro. It picked up a lot of pump noise so I added some music on You Tube ( then it got stuck with the 'edited video' title but the picture is raw & untouched). There are some very shakey parts because I had to switch hands while moving past the euro bracing while trying to keep the camera submerged. Anyway with this view there is nowhere for the frags & non-performing corals to hide but it is what it is.

I recently started dosing Color Elements (about 3 weeks ago) but instead of the recommended manual once a week method I thought I would try adding it to the dosing tanks with the balling however I think this may not be the way to go as I have had some RTN/STN, browning out of some corals & tip burn in others - even lost some color in a few clams - (likely over dosed). That said there are some corals that were not negatively affected so I'm not sure what to make of it all yet.

Excellent video! Two quick questions: How often are you feeding your fish and you mentioned you make your own two part? Are you using Randys recipe?

Wow Greg colors are amazing ..love the video

Danny

Thanks Danny!

Thanks much! I feed my fish pellets via autofeeder 3 times per day. I still use Randy's recipe except that I use high grade Calcium & Magnesium instead of the Dow branded products - too many impurities for my liking.

Afenstem26 - Awesome sps tank.
Thanks for the compliment.
