What are you feeding your polyps?

Most of the Palys will eat whatever I happen to be feeding the fish including pellets and flakes as well as pretty much any of the frozen foods. They all really seem to like the Rods fish eggs the most. I haven't seen any of the zoos eat though. The hornets, rastas, smaller polyps like that don't react when I drop food on them. I also dose Reef Pearls about once a week....or when I remember. I put that in after lights out for the NPS but I don't see why the z's and p's wouldn't eat it as well.

Try to target feed them with Coral Frenzy. They'll love it!
There is something in the Coral Frenzy that really attracts them to eat.
Turn off the pumps and feed them very gently.
I feed my polyps during the day (lights on).
The only problem I have is that some times my fishes also ilke to get the bigger particles.

Thanks! Where are you? I always have some frags laying around. I've never shipped though and I imagine I would have to cut some more to make it worthwhile to ship.

Thanks DrBegalke! I've been slowly moving the frags up to live on my rock so they can start spreading. Hopefully I will have my own zoa garden in the not too distant future!

Thanks! It took me forever to finally track down an Utter Chaos. That Rasta took a while too. I had some teeny tiny polyps that I bought as Rastas but they are nothing compared to the new big ones I got.

IME, I haven't seen any of the smaller polyp zoas (hornets, rastas, etc.) eat. I have some super greedy palys that gobble up anything that happens to touch them, but my smaller zoas just don't seem to care.

Thanks to you as well Perched Urchin (awesome username!). I've pretty much had the same experience. Not much eating action with the zoas but my Palys go bonkers. I've actually stopped feeding them like I did. It seemed like the ones I was feeding a lot had great initial growth but I lost a lot of them to melting. Just lost my Darth Maul colony a few weeks back to it. Since I've stopped feeding I've seen just as much growth but haven't had the die off problems. Hopefully they continue this way!
